MUSIC: LES RITA MITSUOKO

We absolutely love this music video by French band LES RITA MITSOUKO
Les Rita Mitsouko was a French pop rock group formed by guitarist Fred Chichin and singer Catherine Ringer.
Rita Mitsouko began performing in the early 1980s in alternative spaces such as the Pali-Kao, a squatted factory building in Belleville, Paris. They went on to become one of the most successful musical acts of the 1980s.
The hit song "Marcia Baila" was written as a tribute to Marcia Moretto, the Argentine dancer, choreographer and Catherine's close friend, after her death in 1981 at the age of 32.
Interestingly, Ringer also performed in pornographic movies such as La Fessée and Body Love.
We love the colourful, wild, tropical, silly and over-the-top image combined with elements of traditional jazz, synth-pop and punk.See for yourself below, they don't really make videos like this anymore!
